“Izzat” (1952) not to be confused with “Apni Izzat”(1952) was directed by Taaimur Behram Shah for Taimur Art Productions, Bombay. The movie had Nirupa Roy, Amarnath, Agha, Jeevan, Manorama, Rajni, Veera, Pesi Patel, Nazira, Baby Kalpana etc. in it.
The movie had eight songs in it. Two songs have been covered in the blog.
Here is the third song from “Izzat” (1952) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Sandhya Mukherji. Raja Mehdi Ali Khan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Bulo C Rani.
Sandhya Mukherji was the female lead playback singer in this movie and she sang three songs in the movie. So my guess is that this song was picturised on Nirupa Roy. Nevertheless, I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
Song-Kya kya sitam sahe hain do din ki zindagi mein(Izzat)(1952) Singer-Sandhya Mukherji, Lyrics-Raja Mehdi Ali Khan, MD-Bulo C Rani
Lyrics
kya kya sitam sahe hain
do din ki zindagi mein
kya kya sitam sahe hain
do din ki zindagi mein
kismat ne apni duniya aa aa
looti hansi hansi mein
kya kya sitam sahe hain
loota chaman khushi ka
kismat ki aandhiyon ne ae ae
loota chaman khushi ka
kismat ki aandhiyon ne
takte ham aashiyaan(??) ko
ro ro ke bebasi mein
kya kya sitam sahe hain
gham ki chiraag dil mein
ab jhilmilaa rahe hain aen
gham ki chiraag dil mein
ab jhilmilaa rahe hain
ummeed jal rahi hai ae
aankhon ki roshni mein
kya kya sitam sahe hain
phir shaad ham ko kar de
naashaad karne waale ae
naashaad karne waale ae
phir shaad ham ko kar de
naashaad karne waale ae
naashaad karne waale ae
hamne tujhe pukaara
ro ro ke bekasi mein
kya kya sitam sahe hain
do din ki zindagi mein aen
kya kya sitam sahe hain
